Gibson EM-150, 1947. $1,800.
From an Indiana estate, here's a fully restored Gibson EM-150. Its factory order number is 1010 4, pointing to 1947 as the year of manufacture. Its headstock bears the block-lettered logo introduced in that year (and still in use by Gibson today). It has a green-lined Geib hardshell case. EM-150s from the 1950s and '60s are not difficult to find; those from the 1940s don't surface all that often.
All the hardware, including the P-90 pickup, is original save the tuner buttons; the originals had crumbled, so I had them replaced with new ones.  Luthier Neil Miller has repaired and cleated three top cracks, which are now nearly invisible, as well as a crack in the treble side tone bar; repaired the bridge; adjusted the truss rod; touched up some dings on the top, given it a light coat of shellac; and polished the whole instrument. It's a beauty. And it can all be yours for $1,800 plus shipping. See more photos, call 425/772-0231, or for more information. 48-hour approval offered.
