Eastman ER-M El Rey
Eastman ER-M El Rey. $1,150.
Introduced in 2019, here's a high-quality semi-hollow 8-string electric mandolin from Eastman.
The Eastman ER-M El Rey is an adaptation of the classic archtop guitar designed by master luthier Otto D’Ambrosio. The build includes a solid block chambered mahogany back, a maple top with the f-holes, and the signature El Rey contoured cutaway; while electric features include a Lollar humbucker pickup custom designed for the El Rey. The shape, string length and tuning are very much what you’d expect from a traditional mandolin. But the sound offers a whole new electric edge. The clarity and signal strength of the original Lollar designed pickup opens a world of possibilities when introduced to FX pedals. Scale length on the ER-M is 13 7/8” with 1 3/32″ width at the nut, making it easy to switch from a standard F or A model mandolin. Includes hardshell case. Used, but only just. As you can see, there's barely a scratch on it. Hardshell case included. Manufacturer's retail price is $1,599; get it here for less.
