Where in the world is Carvin? San Diego! The well-known Southern California electric guitar company produced several different mandolins in the 1960s. The instruments in the top row are examples of the earliest solidbody model, which appeared in 1961. On the bottom row we have a doubleneck guitar/mandolin, a 1969 doubleneck with a whammy bar, the redesigned 1967 model in black and white as well as color, and an acoustic/electric of unknown age.
