Roger, an Englishman, designed the famous Steinberger 'M' series guitar, ran Gibson's Los Angeles custom shop for a while, and now builds instruments in Portland, Oregon, under the sobriquet Giffin Guitars. The doubleneck pictured at left was built for Journey's Neal Schon. The flame-maple-topped, single-cutaway instrument below is, methinks, a thing of rare and inestimable beauty.
