These instruments are new in 2009 from EleUke, a Japanese company that introduced a line of electric ukuleles in 2008. We appear to have two basic models: a modified F-style with a bridge-mounted piezo pickup, and a cutaway archtop-guitar model with a magnetic 6-pole guitar pickup (whoops!) and bronze strings (double whoops!). Be that as it may, some of these instruments have innovative features such as an MP3 jack, which you can use to play along to an accompaniment track. All of the instruments appear to be semi-hollow with F holes that go all the way through the body.
