Fletcher
Brock
Fletcher splits his time between Idaho and
Seattle. He earned a stellar reputation
as a builder of Celtic-style bouzoukis and citterns. Then
he changed his focus to F-style mandolin-family instruments and
once again won kudos for those. Here, though, are a
couple of 5-string electrics he's built. The archtop jazz model on the left
is currently in the capable hands of young Bryce Milano.
The solidbody on the right was built around 1980. It features a Bill Lawrence blade pickup
and a Stratocaster bridge that Fletcher cut down to 5 saddles from 6, and
has been loaned out to several players. You
