This 8-string acoustic/electric from Fender features gold hardware, white pearloid pickguard and truss rod cover, and a hot bridge-mounted piezo pickup with tone and volume controls. Imported by Fender from Korea a few years ago, and since discontinued.
     Acoustically, it’s pleasant enough as import mandolins go, and would be particularly suited for blues, old-time, or country music. Plugged in, the piezo pickup delivers all the volume you could want, with remarkable tone and presence.
