Idiosyncratic electric 5-string mandolin by Mark Hencel of Portland, Oregon. Solid spalted maple modified F-style body with exaggerated scroll and figured redwood top with dark red finish. Maple neck, radiused ebony fretboard. Striped ebony headplate. Nickel hardware includes tuners, tone and volume controls, a strap button, side jack and hardtail bridge with individually tunable saddles. 1.125” nut, shallow C-shaped neck, 13.875" scale. There's a pair of EMG pickups: a single coil in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge position, controlled by a 3-way switch. Gig bag included.
     Mark played progressive bluegrass in Portland's Pitchfork Revolution, and is also a woodworker and luthier. This instrument is in very good condition, with a couple of finish cracks around the neck pocket and one of the tuners. Gig bag included.
