Here is Fender's entry-level 8-string acoustic/electric mandolin. It's your basic
imported A-style snakehead mandolin with F-holes, but since it's electric you can
plug it in and let it rip.
Spruce top, rosewood fretboard and adjustable bridge, nato neck, back, and sides.
Nickel hardware, including chrome tuners. Single-coil pickup
with tone and volume controls. 3-ply plastic pickguard. Tobacco sunburst finish.
Fender first started selling the FM-52E in the late 1990s, and it hung on
longer than any of the other models Fender introduced back then. But all good things must
come to an end, and the FM-52E has been discontinued. You may be accustomed to seeing these
everywhere, but that will soon cease to be the case.
This particular example has been played very little,
and is near pristine condition. $250 plus shipping. Comes with a gig bag. See
for more information.
