Fender MandoStrat. $500.
A few years ago Fender introduced the MandoStrat—for all intents and purposes a reissue of its famous Mandocaster. The MandoStrat was imported from Indonesia and was a success, as far as I know—but Fender discontinued it nonetheless.
Solid alder body, 13 7/8" scale, C-profile maple neck with 24-fret rosewood fretboard. Single pickup with volume & tone controls. The chrome-plated 2-saddle bridge was made on the same machine used to produce original Mandocaster bridges (which is cute, although the instrument would have been better off with a 4-saddle bridge instead—but this doesn't seem to have hurt its popularity). Three-ply tortoiseshell plastic pickguard, vintage-style tuners, and chrome hardware.
This MandoStrat received some use but was well kept and is quite clean. It's in excellent shape and a lot of fun to play. Serial number CF14002101. Get the Mandocaster mojo at an affordable price. Comes with a standard gig bag, or upgrade to a deluxe bag or hardshell case. See more photos, or for more information. $500 plus shipping.
