Radim Zenkl
Czech mando-wizard Zenkl sports
several instruments, but does most of his playing on this Breedlove electric single-course
mandola. His other axes include a Capek acoustic mandolin and another electric
mandola—which, he writes, "was built by Jerzy Pardubicky at Pard Instruments. The pickup is a Barcus-Berry humbucker. I also had a
solid-body electric 4-string mandolin built by Eda Kristufek at Krishot Instruments (Czech
Republic), which I used on my first recording, Mandolin Parade
(1989). It
was released on cassette tape only, but there are plans for a CD reissue."
