Playing in her family band, the Stonemans, Donna ruled the 1960s as the first lady of bluegrass mandolin. She certainly kept in touch with the fashion trends of the decade, and also modernized her mandolin with a DeArmond pickup, which you can make out if you enlarge the photo.
