Tragically, Seth passed away in 2012. He played acoustic and electric mandolin for more than 30 years, covering a wide variety of styles, including swing and western swing. He played a 5-string Earnest electric by Joel Eckhaus with two northeast Ohio bands: Crazy Rhythm, a swing band; and the Suspenders, a rhythm and blues band. When he acquired the Earnest, Seth put his 1959 Epiphone electric up for sale. He led swing workshops at West Virginia's Augusta Heritage Center, and had some swing lessons online at Mandolin Cafe.
