Before Thin Lizzy, the Pogues, or U2, there were the Horslips, the seminal Irish rock band. Charles O'Connor played fiddle, accordion, and this very interesting Danvel solidbody electric mandolin in the band's early years (apparently on their later records he gravitated more toward guitar). He also reportedly owned a Grimshaw e-mando. Charles is still occasionally active as a musician, and also apparently runs the Horslips Web site.
