Mr. Herrington, of Texas, is no longer with us, but this mandolin still is. It's solid maple with a rosewood bridge, nut and fretboard and an EMG pickup. Edgar was a church musician; reportedly had performed with Willie Nelson and Ray Price; and was a master carpenter, cabinetmaker and homebuilder.
