Jack lives in Wichita, Kansas. A player as well as a builder, he's experimented with such innovations as a Novax fan-fret system; an 8-string, Fender-style, fully adjustable, individually intonatable bridge; and polymer technology pickup systems. The instrument on the left, the "Blue Cheese," is tuned CGDAE, with string gauges of .012, .020, .032, .044, and .060. On the right, an acoustic-electric 5-string with a Novax fretboard. However, Jack reports that he's taking a hiatus from building for a while.
